Located on the slopes of one of the most well-studied volcanoes in South America, Pucón Ski Center offers its visitors not only a place for skiing, but also the opportunity to discover and enjoy one of the most beautiful areas in our country.
This center is situated within the borders of Villarrica National Park. The access is through an unpaved, but fairly clear road, though using snow chains is highly recommended.
Pucón Ski Center has nine chair and surface lifts, which transport skiers to all level tracks. The center also offers various services to make your stay more pleasant: a cafeteria, equipment rental, parking lot, a small medical clinic, and skiing clessons.
On the surroundings, there are several options to enjoy thermal baths and the nightlife in the nearby cities of Pucon and Villarrica.
Location: 125. km southeast of Temuco, La Araucania Region. 19 km. southwest of Pucon.
When to go: Mid-June to mid-october.
Attractions: Villarrica Volcano, Villarrica lake, Colico Lake, and Llaima Volcano.
How to get there: Santiago-Temuco: by air or by land by public or private transportation. From Temuco, take the Ruta 5 Sur up to the city of Freire. Take the exit to Villarrica, cross the the city, and take the road to Pucón. 2 km. before the city is the entrance to the National Park and the Ski Center. During winter season, using snow-chains is compulsory.

Ski School
The Ski School offers individual and group lessons, with a duration that ranges from 55 minutes, to 1 1/12 hours, with national and international instructors. Group lessons have a minumum of 5 people.
Snowboarding lessons are also given in Pucón. Its instructors are experts in its different modalities: Big air, Slopestyle, and Half pipe, among others. Piedra Blanca School, established in 1998,complies all international standards, with 8 professional and qualified instructors, both Chilean and international.
Trails and Lifts
This center has 20 tracks, 20% of which are graded easy (green), 30% intermediate (blue), 30% difficult (red), and 20% very difficult (black). The high quality snow has made experts christen Pucón as the "snowboarding paradise", because of its natural, high guality Half Pipes.
The incline of the slopes is 960 mts, the highest skiable point is 2.440 meters above sea level, and the lowest is 1.550 mts.
Pucón has 9 ski lifts, 5 chairs and 4 surface lifts, that operate from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
